How to A/B test widgets in Personizely

The instructions below describe the process for setting up an A/B test.

On the widgets page, click on the pencil button to edit the widget:

Select the Experiment option at the top of the page, and create a new experiment:

Set the experiment title, primary metric, variation name, and percentage of traffic you want to attribute to each variation:

You can add additional variations by clicking the "Clone" button next to an existing variation:

To edit a variation, select the Experiment option and then click the pencil icon to the right of the variation. You will see the variation badge in display options. Next, you can click Edit in builder:

Note: You can also set up A/B testing for triggers.

Once you have made the necessary changes to all variations and everything is set to run, click on the Experiment option and change the status from "Draft" to "Start":



Once the A/B test has completed, click on your widget in the "Widgets" tab to see the results. You can change the data you want to compare against for more in-depth results:
